Welcome to the first blog post for Evil Dread Press!

If you're here, then you enjoy the art of horror storytelling as much as we do. Or, you're one of our relatives. If you are the former, many thanks for finding us and engaging - we are thrilled to have you. If you are the latter, remember that we always enjoy cash and liquor at the holidays.

As a small, independent publisher, we will be putting out our own in-house authored books as well as calling for submissions to find the most talented horror authors interested in publishing their dreadful (in a good way) creations. Of course, we'll also be procuring our favorites for original Evil Dread Press anthologies. But, Rome wasn't built in a day and we truly believe in building something worthwhile, so bear with us while we build our content library. As mentioned elsewhere - we will always value quality over quantity.

In our blog series, we intend to discuss everything about literary horror that we possibly can - writing it, reading it, publishing it, appreciating the ability to write it, the nuances of publishing it, and everything else we can think of. Stay tuned.

And finally, now for some shameless self-promotion. As readily apparent from the home page, we are proud to be releasing our first of many publications - Eight Bone Stew. This debut collection of original horror stories, presented French menu-style, lingers long after the final course (we hope in a good way, and not like your mother's meatloaf that you taste for three days).

Spanning psychological, sci-fi, folk, gothic, and the dystopian, Eight Bone Stew is dark, disturbing, and delicious - bon appetite, if you dare.

Coming October 22nd, get your copy in hardcover, paperback, or ebook everywhere fine horror is sold!

All the best to you,

EDP
